Hurricane Ian is here. My first thoughts are with my friends and family in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Selfishly, I haven't been in the water in 10 months, it's not worth getting in a deer stand with all the wind and the rain. It IS an important weekend to repair and maintain gear to be able to immediately take advantage of weather and time. I'm sensing a morning of hot coffee and stripping reals, identifying rods that need repair and prepping rods for use. Dust is collecting on my lures, at this point I might need to refresh my boat fuel and my bow is getting very lonely. For the past five years I have woken up at 4:30 from September through January. I'm wondering if its just deer season or my age.
